We will prioritize the health and safety of our employees in everything we do. No employee should have to be injured either physically or mentally in the workplace. To achieve this, all employees must pay attention to situations that may be dangerous and report this. We continuously make risk assessment to our workplace and involve our staff in improving the work environment.
Everyone who works at Minitube and our suppliers should have freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining. Everyone who works at Minitube is entitled to a contractual salary in accordance with national law and agreements. Through good cooperation with trade unions and safety representatives, we ensure a safe and good workplace for everyone.
Minitube has entered into a collective agreement with the union IF Metall.
We promote equal opportunity and equal treatment for our staff members irrespective of their skin colour, race, nationality, social background, disability, sexual orientation, political or religious beliefs, or gender or age.
We will not employ anyone against his or her will or compel him or her to work.
We do not tolerate unacceptable treatment of staff members, by such things as psychological mistreatment, sexual or personal abuse or discrimination. We do not tolerate behavior (including gestures, language and physical conduct) that is sexual, subjects people to duress, or is threatening, abusive or exploitative.
We adhere to the maximum working times set by law in each relevant country.
We will only hire full-time workers who are at least 16 years of age and only if they have reached the end of compulsory schooling prescribed in the respective country; in countries which fall within the exception to developing nations under ILO convention 138, the minimum age may be reduced to 14 for temporary work, such as school holidays. We will only assign non-hazardous work to minor persons under the age of 18.
We shall support and respect international human rights and never violate them in our operations or through our suppliers.
All forms of corruption and bribery are unacceptable – both with us and at our suppliers and partners. We will avoid conflicts of interest which may have an adverse impact on business relations.
Minitube values competition on equal terms. Price cooperation or other competitive activities are illegal and shall not occur. All purchases, collaborations and agreements shall be characterized by transparent and subsequently visible processes.
Minitube’s accounts will report figures that give an accurate and understandable picture of our business. We shall keep our accounts and report financial statements in accordance with applicable legislation and good practice.
We encourage all members of staff to report problems or illegal activities at the workplace without any need to fear reprisals, intimidation, or harassment. We commit to examining any problems that are reported and, where necessary, to take remedial action.
If someone at Minitube violates the ethical guidelines, this will have consequences. In the event of repeated or serious offences, the employment relationship may be terminated.
If a supplier violates the guidelines, the supplier should inform us as soon as possible so that together we can create a plan to remedy the violations. Action must be taken within a reasonable time. Contract termination may take place if, following repeated contacts in the case, the supplier shows no willingness to remedy the irregularities.
